February is the season of love and from it we draw our inspiration for these February Events:

Thursday February 8th 6:30pm-8:00pm

This February spice up your Valentine’s celebration with new massage techniques you learned at Glendale Salonspa.  Tamera will be instructing and demonstrating five stress relieving and tension melting moves that you and your significant other can use on each other all year!  The best part, participation in our event comes with one complimentary Custom Blend Massage Oil for each couple.  RSVP is required for this event with a $50 deposit to reserve.  Deposit is non-refundable within 24 hours of event.

LOCKS OF LOVE

Calling all angels!  Below are some facts about Lock of Love and their efforts to make young children feel accepted and help cope with their disease.  If you would like to donate, Glendale Salonspa will be hosting a Locks of Love Event on Wednesday February 21st.  Please call to book your appointment.  Your haircut will be free of charge as a reward for your unselfish act.  Please don’t forget that there is a 10” minimum for hair donations.  Haircuts are by appointment only.  Thank you.

Q: How many ponytails does it take to make a hairpiece?

A: Six to 10 donated ponytails go into one hairpiece because Locks of Love only uses the lengths of 10 inches and longer.

 

Q: Why does Locks of Love ask for 10 inches minimum length in a donated ponytail?

A: Most of the children whom Locks of Love helps are girls. They want long hair. The manufacturing process uses 2 inches of the hair, leaving only an 8-inch length. Most of our girls want hair 12-14 inches long, requiring donated ponytails of 14-16 inches. When Locks of Love needs to manufacture a hairpiece for a boy, we use some of the shorter lengths that have been separated by hand from each donated ponytail.

Although April is Earth month, “Everyday is Earth Day”.  Glendale Salonspa will be holding our Annual Earth Month Silent Auction Friday April 27th.  We will be holding three raffles.

The first raffle will be for our “Earth Conscience Contributors”.  For all of our guests who get involved and provide items for our silent auction, wither from their personal businesses, corporations, or organizational groups.  We appreciate you and your efforts and this year we’d like to offer you a chance to win a 90 minute Elemental Nature Facial compliments of Glendale Salonspa.  If you are interested in donating, please email grace@glendalesalonspa.com.

Our second raffle will be for our “Environmentally Responsible Shoppers”.  As our thank you and your efforts to save trees and materials, every time you bring in your own bag to carry your products out we’ll give you a raffle ticket to win a $50 gift certificate for our salon.  Gift certificates are good for service or products.  Bring in your Aveda 100% organic total and receive two tickets!
